Two examples are discussed by Charles and Deborah on the Marketing Momentum Show on Social Web Cafe TV.

Last week, Charles mentioned two examples. Whether it is an example of what to do or an example of what not do, we can learn what to apply to help to reach that success level in our business. These examples illustrate the different paths that can be taken in promoting ourselves online, and especially as it relates to information sharing, like blogging. There is the traditional path of normal content production, SEO, social sharing, etc., and then there is the way the world really works, as shared by someone from the inside, Ryan Holiday.

It isn’t necessarily what we want to hear, but awareness of these things help us to make more informed decisions on the paths we choose, as well as how we walk them.

SEO and social media need to work together, to be effective. Deborah chats with Beth Browning, Corporate Strategist turned SEO Instructor, with a keen eye toward social media and the crossover point of both. Ms. Browning learned SEO, formally, and she demonstrated such an intuitive results-oriented understanding of SEO that she was asked to teach it at Search Engine Academy.
